Nonprofits throughout every corner of the world are making a huge difference in every area of our lives. Ecological nonprofits are impacting each area of sustainability to help save our planet. Some nonprofits are working towards reforestation, others are halting deforestation, some fight for cleaning our oceans, others are helping to rebuild corals, some are fighting to protect endangered species, while others tell the story of these precious animals. Each organization makes an impact in its own way because of the support of citizens who care about their planet. Throughout this series, we are taking a look at specific projects in each area to help show how individual citizens with a dream can help make a change.

The Eden Project is one such organization, that takes a huge problem and is solving it in an inventive and sustainable way. The Eden Project is focused on reforestation efforts to help the growing issue of a loss of habitats and forests. This project works by employing local impoverished people to reforest and protect these new forests in countries like Ethiopia, Madagascar, Nepal, Haiti, and Indonesia. This project has planted over 250 million trees and adds another 100 million trees each year. This project is one of many that encourages businesses to partner with them in order to help protect our planet. Businesses that partner with the Eden Project can commit to funding the planting of one tree for every sale or purchase to help individuals make an impact.
