Easy Flowers

Flowers are always a great start to any garden you might be planning on starting, and many types of flowers are easy to maintain and grow, especially in a region as unpredictable as Eastern North Carolina. There are hundreds of different plant types that can thrive in this area with the right amount of care and attention, so we are going to focus on a few specific species that you can keep at home.

Daylilies are a type of perennial flower that is good to keep in the Eastern NC climate. Daylilies come in a variety of different colors, sizes, and shapes, so there is plenty of room to diversify your plant garden with this species. They make for good plants in this climate because they are capable of handling the high heat that can come in the Eastern North Carolina summers. The best time to plant a daylily is early in either the spring or fall season.

Ferns also grow very well in the Eastern NC region. Many ferns can be found and grown across the region, and the level of maintenance depends on the species. Most can do fine with an average amount of water, but others might require a bit more as the moisture in the soil needs to be greater for it to survive. They can also grow several feet high, and can a be good plant to have if you are looking for something a little bit different from the average flower.

These are just two examples of flowers that can grow here in Eastern North Carolina, where the climate can be unpredictable and volatile for some species of plants. There are hundreds more that can grow here and do well, and you can always research more plants to grow in this area, and there are many nurseries and farms that you can reach out to in order to learn more. These are two plants that we would recommend putting in your garden if you ever decide to start one and want to make it as easy and manageable as possible.
